IN-UP complex possesses insecticidal and anthelmintic activity against larval and sexually mature development phases of fleas, ixodid ticks, lice, chewing lice, round- and tapeworms that parasitize in animals.
The therapeutic effect of IN-UP complex is caused by pharmacological properties of the active substances in its composition.
Aversectin C1 has a pronounced insectoacaricidal effect against fleas, ixodid ticks, lice, chewing lice, and anthelmintic action against roundworms (including microfilariae). Aversectin C1 is absorbed from the site of application, enters the circulatory system of the animal's body, and produces antiparasitic effect in the tissues and organs. The mechanism of action of aversectin C1 consists in blocking the transmission of nerve impulses, causing paralysis of the muscles and further death of parasites.
Fipronil has a pronounced insectoacaricidal effect against fleas, ixodid ticks, lice, and chewing lice. Fipronil does not enter into the systemic bloodstream of the body; it is deposited in the epidermis, hair follicles, sebaceous glands of the animal's skin, and then is released to the surface of the body along with the secret of the glands, destroying ectoparasites on the pets. The mechanism of fipronil action consists in impairment of the transmission of nerve impulses, resulting in paralysis of the muscular system and the death of fleas, ticks, lice, and chewing lice.
Praziquantel has an anthelmintic effect against tapeworms. Praziquantel is absorbed from the site of application, then it enters the circulatory system of the animal's body, is secreted into the intestines, and destroys endoparasites. The mechanism of praziquantel action is based on the destruction of tapeworm tissues, spastic paralysis and subsequent death of parasites.
IN-UP complex is used once by applying on a dry undamaged skin. After moving aside the hair, apply the drug on the skin at several points in the back between the shoulder blades (in places inaccessible for licking). For complex destruction of fleas, ixodid ticks, round- (including microfilariae) and tapeworms, animals are treated once in the following doses:
In order to destroy ixodid ticks on the animal's body, apply 1 drop of the drug on the tick and on the place of its attachment to the skin. If the tick does not spontaneously fall off within 20 minutes, it is carefully removed from the skin with tweezers and destroyed.
For comprehensive prevention of infections with fleas, ixodid ticks, round- and tapeworms, IN-UP complex is used after 6-7 weeks in the indicated doses.
To prevent dirofilariasis (infection with microfilariae), IN-UP complex is used throughout the entire spring-summer-autumn period: for the first time – once before the beginning of the mosquitoes and sand flies (carriers of dirofilariasis pathogen) summer, then every 6-7 weeks and for the last time during the season – in 1 month after the end of the summer of insects in the above specified doses.
