Composition
1 tablet contains:
- Pyrantel pamoate – 200 mg;
- Praziquantel – 40 mg.

Contraindications

Pharmacological properties
Pyrantel pamoate causes paralysis of the muscular system of nematodes by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses. Pyrantel has a moderate safety index. LD50 (mice, rats) is 170 mg/kg.
Praziquantel increases the permeability of parasitic membranes to calcium ions and causes spastic paralysis of the muscles. Intestinal cestodes after deworming can be digested in the intestines and not come out with feces. Praziquantel has a high safety index. LD50 (mice, rats) is 2000 mg/kg.
Usage and dosage
For preventive and therapeutic deworming of nematodiasis, cestodiasis and mixed infestations in dogs, the drug is used at the dosage of 1 tablet per 8 kg of animal’s body weight once. The drug is recommended for pregnant female dogs 3 weeks prior the expected delivery; the drug can be used in nursing female dogs in 2-3 weeks after delivery under the supervision of a veterinarian. In case of severe invasion (contamination), the treatment should be repeated in 10 days. Preventive deworming should be performed once every 3 months.
